Peterson-Farms, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for our Hart, MI facility.

The role supervises Food Safety Quality Technicians and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while coordinating with management, production, and maintenance. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in QA within a fruit environment, familiarity with third-party audits and HACCP training, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coach a team.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign daily duties for Food Safety Quality Technicians
• Train and onboard new Food Safety Quality Technicians
• Complete performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
• Provide backup coverage for Food Safety Quality Technicians as required
• Perform water sampling for review third party lab
• Performs weekly environmental checks
• Orders supplies for lab
• Coordinates samples for customers and sales
• Signs off CCP records on a daily basis
• Complete nonconforming product documents and rejections
• Correct errors in lot numbering and code dates if found after the fact
• Perform the required testing of raw product from both storage and incoming raw product deliveries.
• Ensure that all the required documentation is completed in a timely fashion and that it is accurate and legible.
• Identify and make recommendations for continuous improvements.
• Other duties as requested by the Food Safety Quality Manager

OVERVIEW

Food Safety Quality Supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading Food Safety Quality Technicians to ensure proper execution of all procedures and continuous compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and legal requirements. This role provides effective communication with management, transportation, procurement, production, and maintenance to support efficient facility operations.

Work Experience

• 2 years of relevant QA experience in a fruit environment preferred.
