Job summary

Fontana Fasteners is seeking a Quality Control professional responsible for the first-time delivery of quality products as they flow through the operation. You will perform dimensional, visual and mechanical inspections of products and provide support to all processes in operation.

You will use gauges and other devices to verify conformance to part prints and specifications, prepare metallographic samples for testing, maintain records, and assist in the implementation of a total quality

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalency required.
• Preferred 2 years of quality or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO/QS/IATF requirements.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Willing to work OT or other shifts as necessary.
• Knowledge of Google Workspaces preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks/tests at various stages of production.
• Prepare metallographic samples for lab tests.
• Maintain records for historical data collection.
• Verify conformance to prints and specifications with gauges.
• Support manufacturing with gauge setup, calibration, and studies.
• Assist in implementing a total quality management system and training others.
• Support PPAPs in customer systems and databases.
• Maintain QA documentation and certifications.
• Assist QA Manager with MRB issues and QA Hold Area.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Cross-train and provide backup for the QA team.
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.
