ESN is seeking a Quality Control Specialist III (Automated Tester) to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provide near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and provide three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet including Ashore and Afloat systems. This support includes automated software testing, Scrum Master support, operating in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA/Confluence, Cyber Compliance, and project support.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years professional experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Experience ensuring that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area.
  • Experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g., agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS).

Experience:

  • Three (3) years' experience in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) software testing.
  • Three (3) years' experience in developing automated software tests.
  • Two (2) years experience in an agile software development process.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.

Security Clearance:

  • Must hold an active Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
