Job summary

Amada America, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control specialist to perform daily QC duties, train team members, and support process improvements.

The role requires reading engineering drawings and using precision tools such as calipers and micrometers, with familiarity in CMM and the metric system. You will maintain detailed logs, analyze failures, prepare reports, and contribute to root-cause analyses while ensuring compliance with ISO quality practices.

Qualifications

• Six months to one-year related experience or training; an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is a plus.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Must read calipers, micrometers and tape; use a computer with Windows, Word and Excel and design custom reports.
• Understand and/or worked on CMM is a plus; familiarity with the Metric System.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily QC to ensure products meet standards and specifications; report problems to Manager; route bad units to repair or rejected parts.
• Learn processes for all machine models and train subordinates.
• Assist with QC team meetings and monthly QC presentations as requested by Manager.
• Maintain logs and documentation; perform root-cause analysis and trend reporting; generate reports for Management.
