Position Overview: Quality Control Specialist

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for internal source inspection, acting as the Customer Representative. Key duties include scheduling and performing inspections, auditing, guiding quality staff, and providing technical input for quality projects. This role reports to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Create and disseminate source inspection reports.
2. Perform buy back to clear and close inspection reports.
3. Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other gages.
4. Ensure products meet specifications and regulatory compliance.
5. Record and analyze quality data using inspection equipment.
6. Conduct 'Wash Up' meetings with production and inspectors.
7. Train employees in inspection fundamentals.
8. Apply knowledge of GD&T and drawing requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a quality environment.
• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Experience in aerospace industry (preferred).
