Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES is seeking a Quality Control Specialist for a six-month, part-time temporary role in Salida, CA. The incumbent will develop and maintain laboratory QC systems, perform routine QC analyses, and ensure compliance with SOPs and state certification.

Strong data analysis, documentation, and cross‑department coordination are essential. The position requires a basic knowledge of microbiology or chemistry and familiarity with LIMS, training programs, and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of microbiology or chemistry to analyze quality control data.
• Basic understanding of food science to analyze samples.
• Experience with laboratory procedures and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain laboratory quality control systems.
• Perform pH, chlorine, residues and other QC tasks to meet SOPs.
• Track split sample performance and ensure timely reporting to clients.
• Perform microbiological and chemistry analyses on food samples as required.
• Coordinate between chemistry, microbiology and QA teams.
