This opportunity is based on a Quality Inspector career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.

Job Duties
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
  • Compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
  • Conduct simple tests; record results and prepare simple technical reports .
  • Under supervision, performs visual and measurement inspection tests.
  • Utilizes precision measuring equipment (i.e. micrometers, calipers, comparators, master gauge blocks, indicators, surface gauges, surface plates, sine bars, etc.) to accept or reject parts so that product sent to customers meets expectations and quality standards
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, confirming re-work, communicating required adjustments to appropriate personnel and ensuring quality product is released to customer
  • Reads and deciphers complex technical drawings and incorporates tight tolerances into part inspection process Inputs and analyzes statistical data utilizing Infinity or other SPC software, documents data obtained during all quality inspection processes and examines statistical data to determine and maintain quality and product reliability
  • If applicable, Operates inspection equipment; troubleshoots and resolves issues affecting quality of product and reports issues to leadership as needed Acts as \"go-to\" person for quality control inspection procedures, willingly accepts responsibility for training other employees as required and ensures inspection methods are consistent and performed in adherence to quality standards and processes
  • Performs analytical test using instrumentation/equipment and perform measurement calculations as needed Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned Works any and all shifts/days as required Under minimal supervision, performs visual and measurement inspection tests including calculating distances, angles, and radius tapers using complex measuring equipment ( i.e.
  • Zeiss or Coordinate Measuring Machines)
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Control Specialist.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
