Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, seeks a QC Shift Supervisor I to oversee daily quality assurance and control across the solar cell manufacturing process in Jeffersonville, Indiana. You will lead a team of QC technicians, ensure compliance with testing protocols, and drive improvements that reduce defects.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing quality (solar/semiconductor preferred), and at least 1 year of supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in quality within a manufacturing environment; solar/semiconductor preferred.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience managing 3+ employees.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and audits (internal/external).
• Strong analytical skills to drive data-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily QC team workflows, supervision, training and scheduling.
• Oversee in-process and final outgoing QC of solar cells.
• Ensure products meet testing protocols and specs.
• Investigate recurring defects using EL/PL imagers, IV tracers, microscopy.
• Collaborate with production/engineering on corrective actions.
• Prepare documentation for audits and address non-conformities.
• Develop, review and update SOPs and training materials.
• Maintain quality weekly/daily reports and data systems.
