Job summary

The Quality Control Shift Manager will lead and optimize QA activities to ensure production quality at Amalie Oil Company in Charleston, South Carolina. You will plan, direct, and implement quality assurance programs across shifts.

You will supervise staff on the third shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM), resolve issues, conduct internal audits, and ensure ISO 9001 compliance. This role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, scientific, or business field required.
• At least three years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory/leadership abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day QA operations on the third shift.
• Lead production staff and assign tasks.
• Ensure policy compliance and safety on the floor.
• Conduct internal audits and QC breakdowns of nonconforming material.
• Address staff disputes and coach performance.
• Fill in for QC Technician as needed.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance and proper documentation.
