Job summary

Lakeshirts in Detroit Lakes, MN is seeking a Quality Control Associate to monitor garment production and ensure ink colors, logo placement and labels meet the Lakeshirts standard. You will inspect, sort, fold, count, and prepare orders for shipping, communicating any issues to the team and following safety rules.

Day and night shifts available; you will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced screen printing environment and help uphold quality across resort, collegiate, and school markets.

Qualifications

• High school education is desirable.
• Basic computer experience (Excel, Word, tablet) required.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
• Reliable, responsible and able to perform repetitive tasks.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Inspect garments for correct ink colors, logo placement, labels and flaws.
• Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/style for shipping.
• Read work orders/profiles to ensure correct processing.
• Keep work area clean and orderly and follow safety practices.
• Communicate with team about imperfect garments for rework.
• Other duties as assigned.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Lead, this position is accountable for monitoring and ensuring quality control for all garments produced. Communicate with team members when garments are imperfect and need to be redone. Fold, tag, box and count garments, records styles and quantities of garments produced and prepare them for shipping.

Schedule:

Day shift- Monday-Friday, 8am- 4pm

Night shift- Monday- Thursday, 4pm -2am

A Typical Day (job functions) | Inspect + Sort + Fold + Count + Monitor + Organize

• Inspection of all garments for correct ink colors, proper logo placement, labels and general flaws
• Maintain Lakeshirts acceptable standard of quality per garment
• Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/garment style and prepare them for shipping
• Read and understand work orders and profiles to ensure each account is processed correctly
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• Teamwork
• Other duties as assigned
