Job summary

Lakeshirts in Detroit Lakes, MN seeks a Quality Control Associate responsible for monitoring garments, communicating defects, folding, tagging, boxing, and preparing for shipping. You will inspect ink colors, logo placement, labels, and general flaws; collaborate with inventory, read work orders, and maintain quality standards while keeping the area safe and clean.

This role supports the embroidery department and other lines.

Qualifications

• High school education desirable.
• Basic computer experience required—Excel, Word, tablet.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect garments for ink/thread colors, logo placement, labels and flaws.
• Communicate with inventory to gather garments needed.
• Maintain Lakeshirts standard of quality per garment.
• Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/style for shipping.
• Read work orders and profiles to ensure correct processing.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Follow safety practices per OSHA; identify and resolve safety issues.
• Collaborate with others to complete tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and Lead, this position is accountable for monitoring and ensuring quality control for all garments produced. Communicate with team members when garments are imperfect and need to be redone. Fold, tag, box and count garments, records styles and quantities of garments produced and prepare them for shipping.

Schedule: Day Shift M-F 8am-4pm | Night Shift M-Th 4p-2am

A Typical Day (job functions) | Inspect + Sort + Fold + Count + Monitor + Organize

• Inspects all garments for correct ink/thread colors, proper logo placement, labels and general flaws
• Communicate with, or walk to, inventory department to gather garments needed.
• Maintain Lakeshirts acceptable standard of quality per garment
• Sort, count and fold garments by size/color/garment style and prepare them for shipping
• Read and understand work orders and profiles to ensure each account is processed correctly
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• Works actively with others to get the job done
• Other duties as assigned
