We offer our customers a “one-stop shopping” experience by producing aggregates, recycled aggregates, asphalt, concrete and a full line of grading and paving contracting services. The Quality Control Roadway Technician will be responsible for performing asphalt testing and quality control requirements. Routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow employee to proceed alone at routine work. There is occasional check of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion. Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and any other tasks assigned. Normal work hours are day or night shift eight (8) to fourteen (14) hours per day, Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be required depending on the contract. Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) as required. This job description provides an overview of responsibilities and tasks to be performed. Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions (i.e. rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.). The noise level in the work environment of this job is very loud.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required. At least two (2) years of prior related experience required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Current North Carolina Driver’s License is preferred.
