The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing moderately complex dimensional inspections of standard parts, units, or materials to ensure conformance with specifications using various measuring and testing equipment. This includes quality inspections for incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform process audits per defined control plans and react to non-conformances.
  • Use various gauging devices to measure, inspect, and test product to ensure conformance with engineering drawing specifications and other standards.
  • Document inspection results using quality software, Excel, or SharePoint.
  • Analyze inspection results with product stakeholders and follow nonconformance procedures for product containment and disposition.
  • Participate in problem solving teams.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, complying with 6S standards.
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope of work.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality control software.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions based on work instructions and documents.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use/test measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, etc.

Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell. May need to lift/move objects up to 35 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
