Kelly Services is seeking a Laboratory Technician – Quality Control in Englewood, CO for a temporary, on-site assignment. You will perform routine QC testing, environmental monitoring, and documentation in a regulated lab.

This role covers pH and osmolality testing, bioburden and growth promotion work, environmental monitoring in cleanrooms, water sampling, and LIMS data entry, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to cGMP/SOPs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6–12 months of laboratory experience in QC, microbiology, or related science.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures and document results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process testing, including pH and osmolality measurements.
  • Conduct bioburden testing, growth promotion testing, and plate reading.
  • Execute environmental monitoring in cleanrooms.
  • Perform water sampling and other QC sampling activities.
  • Support raw material release testing and reference sample inventories.
  • Record samples, test results, and data using Sapphire LIMS and other systems.
  • Support process validation activities and related projects.
  • Rotate responsibilities with other QC team members, including testing and sample distribution.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records per SOPs and cGMP.

Laboratory Technician – Quality Control

Location: Englewood, CO – On-site
Pay: $25–$28 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift; approximately 7:45/8:00 AM start
Assignment: Temporary, approximately 6 months with potential for additional transition/overlap time

Kelly® is seeking a Laboratory Technician – Quality Control for an exciting opportunity with a leading organization in the life sciences industry in Englewood, Colorado.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a regulated laboratory environment while supporting Quality Control activities for products that make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do

As a Laboratory Technician supporting Quality Control, you’ll work as part of a small, collaborative QC team performing routine laboratory testing, environmental monitoring, and documentation activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform in-process testing, including pH and osmolality measurements.
  • Conduct bioburden testing, growth promotion testing, and plate reading.
  • Execute environmental monitoring activities in cleanroom environments.
  • Perform water sampling and other routine QC sampling activities.
  • Support raw material release testing and maintain reference sample inventories.
  • Record samples, test results, and laboratory data using Sapphire LIMS and other laboratory systems.
  • Support process validation activities and related projects.
  • Rotate responsibilities with other QC team members, including testing, sample distribution, and laboratory support activities.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records in accordance with SOPs, quality systems, and cGMP requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives and project teams.
  • Perform other laboratory duties as assigned.
Cleanroom Responsibilities

This position requires regular cleanroom work, including weekly entry into ISO Class 7 and ISO Class 8 environments for environmental monitoring and water sampling. Cleanroom activities may last up to approximately four hours.

Candidates must be comfortable following required gowning procedures, which may include changing into scrubs and wearing items such as coveralls, sterile hoods, boot covers, face masks, and hairnets.

The work environment is approximately 80% laboratory/cleanroom and 20% administrative/documentation activities.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6-12months of laboratory experience in Quality Control, microbiology, life sciences, or a related scientific environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow laboratory procedures and document results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of laboratory experience.
  • Microbiology experience, including exposure to microbial growth, plate reading, or growth promotion studies.
  • Experience working in a GMP/cGMP-regulated environment.
  • Previous cleanroom experience.
  • Experience with LIMS or other laboratory data-management systems.
  • Academic microbiology or laboratory technician experience will be considered.
  • Candidates do not need to have performed every listed test previously, as many responsibilities can be trained.
  • A strong laboratory foundation, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are important.
