Job summary

Noble Gas Solutions, LLC is seeking a Quality Control Plant Assistant in Albany, NY to support daily operations of an industrial and packaged gas facility. You will help ensure that specialty gas products are filled, tested, labeled, inspected, and prepared for customer delivery while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

This non-exempt role requires physical stamina, ability to lift heavy loads, and familiarity with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and occasionally 76–100+ lbs; physically demanding role.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and work on feet for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.
• Strong safety awareness and experience in industrial environments a plus.
• Knowledge of pressurized gas cylinder handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols, PPE usage, cylinder labeling, handling and hazard communication.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, FDA and company standards compliance; report issues immediately.
• Assist with cylinder filling operations and pre/post-inspections.
• Operate plant equipment as trained; monitor gauges and alarms.
• Prepare cylinders for shipment and assist with loading/unloading deliveries.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area; support stock counts and documentation.

Summary

At Noble Gas Solutions, LLC, the Quality Control Plant Assistant, supports daily operations of an industrial and packaged gas facility. This role helps ensure that specialty gas products are filled, tested, labeled, inspected, documented and prepared for customer delivery While maintaining compliance with quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all industrial gas safety protocols, including proper PPE, cylinder labeling, handling, and hazard communication.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FDA and company standards.
• Report unsafe conditions, leaks, damaged cylinders, or equipment abnormalities immediately.
• Participate in safety meetings, emergency drills, audits, and ongoing training.
• Load, unload, move, and sort high‑pressure gas cylinders using carts, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
• Assist in cylinder filling operations for gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, acetylene, CO₂, and specialty gases.
• Perform pre‑fill and post‑fill inspections on cylinders (valves, threads, labels, hydrostatic test dates).
• Operate plant equipment such as compressors, pumps, manifolds, cryogenic fill stations, vaporizers, and gas mixing systems, as trained and authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist with routine equipment checks and basic maintenance activities.
• Monitor gauges, pressure levels, liquid levels, alarms, and instrumentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area.

Inventory & Documentation

• Tag, label, and barcode cylinders based on gas type and purity.
• Record cylinder movements in plant management systems or logbooks.
• Assist with stock counts and product rotation.

Customer Service & Logistics Support

• Prepare cylinders for shipment: palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and verifying orders.
• Assist drivers and warehouse personnel with loading, unloading and deliveries as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. and occasionally lift 76 – 100+ pounds.

• Strong understanding of safety practices; experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
