  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with approved submittals, drawings, and specifications, identifying and correcting deficiencies promptly.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections, safety briefings, incident reporting, and enforce corrective actions as required.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and Government inspectors to support timely approvals, phased inspections, testing, commissioning, and outages.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when safety or quality standards are not met.
  • Track QC and safety considerations tied to material arrivals, sealift schedules, long-lead items, and major execution phases including demolition, utilities installation, architectural build-out, MEP systems installation, and closeout.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction quality control, site safety, or Federal project execution (USACE, NAVFAC, or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Safety, or related field. Prior experience serving as a QCM, SSHO, or combined QCM/SSHO on Federal construction programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Three-Phase QC process, EM 385-1-1, and Federal construction safety and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage QC documentation, photographic recordkeeping, lessons-learned tracking, and Government submittal review cycles.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce drawing, specification, and contract requirements while coordinating effectively with the Title II inspector. OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and USACE CQM-C certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working on remote or OCONUS Federal construction projects.
  • Ability to coordinate multi-trade workflows and manage definable features of work under tight milestone-driven schedules.
