Job description

Quality Control Manager (QCM) - Environmental

Join to apply for the Quality Control Manager (QCM) - Environmental role at Conti Federal Services.

This position does not require relocation; however, it involves rotational travel for 3 weeks at a time, with one weekend home (typical).

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) will ensure project compliance with the Performance Work Statement and the CQC Plan, working on environmental remediation projects primarily in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Responsibilities include daily quality reporting, subcontractor management, conducting inspections, and leading continuous process improvements. The role requires working onsite during project activities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Quality Control Management Plan for all project phases.
  • Lead quality initiatives, conduct reviews of project specifications, drawings, and submittals for compliance.
  • Manage daily QC reports, hold weekly QC meetings, and maintain non-conformance logs.
  • Coordinate with project team to ensure timely submittals and inspections.
  • Build professional relationships with clients and inspectors.
  • Drive process improvements to reduce waste and enhance project quality.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and address non-compliance issues.
  • Assist in preparing technical submittals and manage testing and sampling plans.
Qualifications
  • US Citizen, with ability to obtain security clearance if required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in environmental quality control, especially with hazardous and radioactive waste sites.
  • Current USACE Construction Quality Control certification.
  • Proficiency in USACE Quality Control systems, RMS 3.0, and submittal management.
  • Strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to inspect all areas of the jobsite in various weather conditions, including walking, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
