Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a QCx Manager to manage the end-to-end Quality and Commissioning lifecycle. The role requires strong mechanical engineering background and significant experience in data center infrastructure. Responsibilities include conducting factory audits, leading testing, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits. Qualifications

• 3+ years in mission-critical infrastructure, modular construction, or industrial plants.
• Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience (structural frames, piping manifolds, production workflows).
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and redundancy models (N+1, 2N).

Responsibilities

• Conduct factory audits and source inspections across fabrication vendors.
• Lead Factory Witness Testing for critical components.
• Implement QC hold points for inspections.
• Oversee logistics and receiving inspections.
• Manage site-to-module integration quality.
• Direct commissioning and functional testing.
• Own punch list and NCR resolution.

Job Title: QCx Manager (QC & Commissioning)

Location: Remote (travel required, expensed based on project needs). Onsite/Remote: Remote. Salary: 140000 - 150000.

• Must have ownedProduct Lifecycle + QA/QC Lifecycle end-to-end

Mission

Deliver high-density, liquid-cooled infrastructure that is fully commissioned and “ready to deploy” directly from the factory.

Day to Day

• Conductfactory audits + source inspectionsacross fabrication vendors
• LeadFactory Witness Testing (L1)for critical components (heat exchangers, pumps, UPS, switchgear)
• Implement QC hold points (weld inspections, NDT, hydronic/vacuum testing, wiring continuity)
• Overseelogistics + receiving inspectionsto ensure no transit damage or system compromise
• Managesite-to-module integration quality(power + water connections)
• DirectL3-L5 commissioning(energization, functional testing, integrated systems testing)
• LeadIST / failover testingunder simulated peak loads
• Ownpunch list, NCR resolution, and final turnover documentation (as-builts, test logs, quality records)

Requirements

• 3+ years inmission-critical infrastructure, modular construction, or industrial plants
• Strongmechanical + manufacturing experience(structural frames, piping manifolds, production workflows)
• Working knowledge ofelectrical systems + redundancy models (N+1, 2N)
• Experience managingfull commissioning lifecycle (L1-L5)including reporting + timelines
• Familiarity withISO 9001 / Quality Management Systems (end-to-end quality ownership)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred

Preferred

• Data center certifications (QCxP, DCCA, LEED)
• NDT certifications or OSHA 30
• Military background (mission-first, detail-oriented environments)
