Job summary

Richard is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement the project quality control plan and oversee quality across construction projects. The role reports to the Project Manager and is based in North Hills, CA, with full-time benefits eligible.

Housing allowance may be provided if relocation is needed. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of federal contracting experience, CQCM certification, and a track record on healthcare projects, with flexibility to work across multiple project

Qualifications

10+ years' experience with a federal general contracting company.
CQCM certified and has administered the three phases of quality control on multiple projects.
A thorough understanding of construction materials, means, methods, and building systems.
Experience in federal sector projects.
Experience in healthcare projects.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
Ability to write and comprehend RFIs.
Ability to clearly communicate to home office, Owner, and Subcontractors.
Availability to work on any shift-1st, 2nd, or 3rd as hospital construction occurs at all hours.
Experience in Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage-required projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the construction sections of the project quality control plan.
Direct and approve the correction of any non-conforming or unsafe construction work.
Monitor and approve the quality of materials, plans, surveys, fabrication, as-built drawings, and other construction-related work.
Review project plans for quality requirements.
Plan and organize quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, incident reports and corrective actions.
Direct inspections, testing and documentation.
Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
Maintain relationships with owners, clients, and subcontractors.
Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs.
Ensure timely and safe completion of projects in accordance with safety goals, while adhering to contract documents and project budgets.
