Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Quality Control experience in commercial/industrial/missions-critical construction.
  • Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage quality control/QA activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Perform inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and codes.
  • Develop and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and testing records.
  • Coordinate material testing, equipment calibration, and internal quality audits.
  • Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare project submittals and quality reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support government inspections and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Monitor corrective actions and drive continuous improvements.
  • Assist teams in delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Quality Control Manager looking to oversee quality assurance across major construction projects in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role involves managing inspections, documentation, testing, and compliance processes while collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all quality control and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Perform inspections to ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes
  • Develop and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and testing records

Skills/Must Have:
  • 5+ years of Quality Control experience within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction
  • Strong understanding of construction quality standards, engineering practices, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple project teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience
  • Data center or mission-critical construction experience is highly preferred
