Job description

Quality Control Manager job at Southland Holdings, Leadville, CO.

Southland Holdings is currently searching for a qualified Quality Control Manager. This position will be responsible for establishing quality inspection programs and processes to ensure company requirements are met. This opportunity is located at our project in Leadville, CO.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Superintendent on QC/QA topics.
  2. Conduct daily inspections and develop reports.
  3. Review and analyze submittals, RFIs, and contract documents, implementing project and company documentation controls.
  4. Review, interpret, and analyze contract documents to develop QC procedures and manuals.
  5. Establish quality inspection programs ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements.
  6. Implement and oversee a quality management system across projects and business areas.
  7. Manage monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure adherence to quality systems.
  8. Provide guidance to employees within established policies.
  9. Recommend policy changes and establish procedures affecting the organization.
  10. Analyze situations considering current business trends and data.
  11. Advise subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical issues; may have budget responsibilities.
  12. Coordinate activities of groups or departments, possibly without direct reports.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of QCM experience, preferably on government projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater, Concrete, or Pipe projects.
  • Willingness to work in a drug-free environment and undergo post-offer drug testing.
  • Commitment to safety and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical and regulatory documents; capable of report writing and presenting information effectively.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and database reporting tools; ability to learn design software.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to structural engineering and business acumen including understanding of operating expenses and profits.
  • Potential responsibility for directing Field Engineers and QA/QC Engineers.
Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience/education.
  • Experience with Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, and related infrastructure projects, including proposal, schedule, and budget development.
Pay & Benefits:

Salary: $75,000 - $105,000
