Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction is seeking a Quality Control Manager in Florida to own quality on assigned projects, lead inspections, and ensure work meets construction documents and company standards. You will set the quality bar and guide trade partners to meet it, protecting client investments and the company’s reputation.

You will review plans, coordinate with Superintendents and Project Managers, manage RFIs, and oversee subcontractors to maintain QC across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction across CSI MasterFormat divisions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Procore.
• Strong eye for detail, communication, and trade partner management.
• High school education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 10-Hour certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and shop drawings for compliance with construction documents and QC guidelines.
• Inspect all installations for compliance with QC checklists and construction documents.
• Lead pre-install meetings and follow up as new crews join to confirm installation, mixing, processes, and products match approved submittals.
• Ensure final and as-built drawings reflect all installed building components.
• Coordinate and advise the Superintendent and Project Manager on items out of compliance.
• Maintain positive communication with the office, owner, design teams, and inspectors.
• Generate or assist the Project Manager with RFIs and recommended solutions.
• Oversee trade contractors for QC, sequencing, and schedule.

The Opportunity

The Quality Control Manager owns quality on assigned projects — leading inspections and pre‑install meetings to deliver work that meets construction documents, approved submittals, and HBC's standards.

You set the quality bar on the project and hold trade partners to it, protecting both our reputation and our clients' investment.

What You'll Do

Quality Control Leadership
