Job summary

Rittal North America is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager to lead the QMS in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment. You will oversee audits, document control, calibration, and product conformance across the plant and supplier base.

You will develop and coach a team of quality inspectors, engineers, and technicians, drive continuous improvement, and report FPY, DPPM, and nonconformance trends to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, auditing, inspection methods, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience with calibration systems, gage control, and quality data analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA) and Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
  • Manage document control and quality records.
  • Oversee the MRB process and containment activities.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification activities.
  • Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • Ensure calibration compliance, gage control, and testing effectiveness.
  • Monitor special processes and product conformance.
  • Manage nonconforming material and product control processes; support domestic customers and quality performance.
  • Analyze and report quality metrics including FPY, DPPM, audit results, and nonconformance trends.
  • Develop, coach, and lead Quality Inspectors, Technicians, Engineers, and Supervisors.

The Quality Control Manager leads all inspection, verification, and product conformance activities within an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environment. This role oversees daily quality control operations, drives customer and supplier quality performance, and develops a strong, high-performing quality control team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, auditing, inspection methods, and corrective action processes
  • Experience with calibration systems, gage control, and quality data analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    Preferred
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or assembly manufacturing
