Job summary

Ameresco, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee QC programs on USACE/NAVFAC/GSA federal projects.

The role is based at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Havlock, NC, with a focus on implementing a three-phase QC plan, daily inspections, and coordination with subs and SSHOs. Minimum five years of construction experience, including two as a QCM on federal projects, plus a USACE/NAVFAC CQ/CM certificate, strong knowledge of UFGS and QC plans, and

Qualifications

• Five years of professional commercial or industrial construction experience.
• Two years of that experience as a QCM on USACE/NAVFAC projects.
• Experience implementing a three-phase QC plan.
• Valid USACE/NAVFAC CQ/CM certificate at hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the QC Plan per contract requirements.
• Execute the Three-Phases of Quality Control.
• Perform daily quality inspections and coordinate testing.
• Coordinate with Superintendents, SSHOs, and subs on DFOW.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and quality documentation.
• Track and resolve deficiencies with corrective actions.
• Maintain daily reports, inspection logs and quality records.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee quality programs on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), or General Services Administration (GSA) federal projects. This position will initially be based at Marine Corp Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point in Havlock, NC.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the project Quality Control (QC) Plan per contract requirements.
• Execute the Three-Phases of Quality Control.
• Perform daily quality inspections and coordinate required testing.
• Coordinate with Superintendents, SSHOs, and subcontractors on new Definable Features of Work (DFOW).
• Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and quality documentation.
• Track and resolve deficiencies through corrective actions and follow-up inspections.
• Maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and quality records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional commercial or industrial construction experience.
• At least two (2) of those years must include serving as a QCM on USACE or NAVFAC construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience implementing a three-phase Quality Control (QC) plan.
• Valid USACE/NAVFAC CQ/CM certificate at time of hire is required.

Additional Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UFGS specifications, quality control plans, and federal construction requirements.
• Must be proficient with USACE RMS, NAVFAC QCS, or similar reporting software.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and able to use independently.
• Must use BlueBeam Revu or similar and know how to manipulate PDF documents and drawings.
• Must type at greater than 60 WPM.
• Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
