Job summary

Bristol Associates, Inc. – Executive Search is conducting a search for a Quality Control Manager for a manufacturer of ready-to-eat sous vide products in the United States.

The successful candidate will lead all QC/QA activities, ensure USDA/FDA labeling compliance, manage SQF certification, and drive food safety programs across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Microbiology, or related field
• Five or more years of experience working in food safety and quality
• Experience working with proteins and ready-to-eat products
• HACCP, PCQI, and SQF/BRC Certifications
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance for HACCP, GMP, USDA, and FDA requirements
• Working knowledge of foodborne pathogens and food spoilage microorganisms
• Experience in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee all QC/QA functions, including labeling and compliance with USDA/FDA.
• Manage SQF certification and all prerequisite programs (HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs).
• Lead supplier approval, customer complaints handling, allergen program, and ongoing training.
• Ensure food safety and regulatory compliance for a ready-to-eat products operation.

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for all quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) functions, including USDA/FDA product labeling and compliance, and overseeing the company's SQF certification. The successful candidate will manage all food safety and quality prerequisite programs, including the supplier approval program, customer complaints, HACCP (USDA and FDA), SSOPs, GMPs (including daily sanitation compliance), allergen program, and continuous training.
