Job description

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for overseeing and enforcing the quality standards for federal construction projects, with a focus on electrical work. The QCM ensures compliance with the Three-Phase Control System as required by USACE, NAVFAC, and other federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage the Three-Phase Quality Control System.
  • Develop and maintain the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP).
  • Review project drawings, specs, and submittals for compliance.
  • Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up quality control meetings and inspections.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections, testing, and reporting.
  • Maintain daily QC reports and documentation per contract requirements.
  • Interface with government QC representatives and address non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure all electrical installations meet NEC, NFPA, and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction quality control experience, with 2+ years on federal projects.
  • Prior QCM experience on USACE/NAVFAC/VA projects.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification (required).
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Experience writing and implementing QC plans and procedures.
  • OSHA 30 certification and ability to work on active job sites.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

The base pay range is $140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr.
