Job summary

ITT Enidine Incorporated in Orchard Park, NY is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead the QC team and coordinate activities to control product quality and throughput. You will investigate quality issues, report on defects and complaints, and drive corrective actions across shifts.

The role emphasizes supervising schedules, ensuring inspection procedures, maintaining calibration records, and communicating with SQEs, suppliers, and customers to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in mechanical inspection using open set-ups.
• Two to four years’ experience in quality control.
• AAS degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and/or adjusts work schedules and procedures and assigns workload to meet schedules.
• Assures that inspection procedures are being followed to verify conformance to specifications.
• Generates inspection instructions from drawings, interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Maintains quality control records, certifications, calibration and material review records.
• Issues reports with interpretations and recommendations.
• Acts as a liaison for quality control with SQE’s, suppliers and customers to assure control of quality for incoming and outgoing items.
• Trains employees to efficiently and effectively perform job function.
• Recommends measures to improve inspection methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Ensures proper level gauging by estimating number needed, requisitioning or repairing.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Supervise quality and calibration technicians as assigned.
