Job summary

TAS Energy, a Houston-based company, seeks a Quality Control Inspector Lead to guide QC staff, develop procedures, and drive continuous improvement across projects. The role emphasizes audits, root-cause analysis, and strong documentation to ensure product and service conformance.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, interpret drawings, and enforce regulatory standards while mentoring team members and maintaining quality records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in quality assurance or quality management.
• Experience with ISO 9000 or similar QMS.
• ASME/B31.x or AWS/SSPC quality codes knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Ability to obtain Level II VT within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to QC inspectors and material receiving inspector.
• Train new hires on QC procedures and standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QC processes and systems.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to address issues.
• Prepare nonconformance reports and root cause investigations.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans and coordinate with 3rd party inspections.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and support cross‑department collaboration.
• Maintain quality records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead safety/quality meetings and assist in training others.
