Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group seeks a QC Inspector to verify incoming goods against customer and Solve drawings, perform tests, and document results with precision. The role requires GD&T understanding and ability to use measuring equipment, and includes handling rework and RMAs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, you will ensure compliance with ISO procedures while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Understanding of GD&T with working experience in the use of measuring equipment and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming products against drawings for accuracy.
• Perform quality tests using appropriate instruments and record results.
• Reject defective parts and log defects.
• Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
• Comply with ISO procedures and work instructions.
• Process documentation for rework or non-conforming products.
• Validate and process all RMAs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for verifying incoming products against specified sets of quality requirements. The ideal candidate will exercise their strong organizational skills, coupled with their high attention to detail and apply it toward quality driven reporting and record keeping. The QC Inspector will utilize both their qualitative and quantitative skills, while exhibiting a strong working knowledge of mechanical principles in their daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure quality of incoming manufactured goods by comparing part dimensions against Solve or customer drawings for accuracy
• Perform quality tests using the appropriate instruments and equipment to gauge pass/fail grades of products, and record results accordingly
• Reject defective parts and mark/log type of defect(s)
• Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
• Comply with various ISO operating procedures and work instructions
• Process associated documentation for rework or non-conforming products
• Validate and process all RMA’s (Return Merchandise Authorization)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Degree or equivalent
• 2+ years related experience and/or training
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to use basic hand tools
• Understanding of GD&T with working experience in the use of measuring equipment and instruments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in the bearings or power transmission industry
• General understanding of PPAP process
• Experience operating forklift
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office
• Knowledgeable of calipers, micrometers
