Job summary

Lexicon, Inc. in Sinton, Texas is seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector to uphold the highest standards in our fabrication shop.

You will inspect structural steel, welding, and bolted connections per AISC and AWS standards while ensuring materials meet drawings and specifications. This safety-sensitive role requires the ability to work overtime and travel as needed, with weekly pay and competitive hourly wages.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in construction and/or welding.
• Reading structural steel drawings.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) may be required.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel for plumb, level, and elevation per AISC Codes and Standards.
• Inspect welding materials for compliance with drawings and governing standards.
• Inspect bolted and/or riveted structural connections by fastening materials and surfaces.
• Assist in the inspection of materials received on the job site.
• Assist in the inspection of all phases of steel erection and equipment installation.
• Perform on-site internal audits to confirm compliance with AISC, AWS, and QA/QC Manual.
• Ensure compliance of AISC and AWS Standards with subcontractors.
• Work overtime and maintain punctual attendance.
• Perform non-essential functions as needed.
