The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for following the M.C. Dean Quality Control (QC) Program to achieve and verify quality expectations for durable and reliable installations. The role involves performing field inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance and conformance with project or contract specifications.
  2. Conduct inspections in accordance with the Quality Control Plan and legal requirements.
  3. Consult with Quality Assurance and Managers as appropriate.
  4. Read blueprints and specifications.
  5. Monitor operations to meet specifications.
  6. Recommend process adjustments.
  7. Inspect, identify, and submit materials for testing.
  8. Operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
  9. Document approval or rejection of inspected materials.
  10. Identify components that fail to meet specifications for removal.
  11. Report inspection and test data.
  12. Participate in preparatory and initial inspections to review plans, specs, and site conditions.
  13. Perform detailed inspections of all work, ensuring quality and safety.
  14. Collect data for continuous improvement and share with the team weekly.
  15. Participate in daily ORM meetings, discussing quality issues and tips.
  16. Document daily QC reports following all quality system procedures.
  17. Perform various inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies.
  18. Notify operators of non-conformances.
  19. Complete quality reporting requirements per QMS.
  20. Segregate nonconforming units following procedures.
  21. Assist in training operators and problem-solving.
  22. Participate in ORM work briefings, representing quality.
  23. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  24. Coordinate shift coverage for inspectors.
Qualifications
  1. Associates Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in construction, estimation, or quality control.
  3. Experience interpreting contractual requirements, drawings, BIM models, and standards.
  4. Experience with quality processes in receiving, production, and shipping.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Strong attention to detail, organization, and computer literacy.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
