Job summary

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure products and services meet quality standards and customer requirements. The role focuses on inspection of fabricated metal components, cable assemblies, and hardware, with emphasis on interpreting drawings and complying with contract and product standards.

The ideal candidate will perform First Article Inspections (FAI), prepare inspection documentation, and collaborate with QA to ensure processes align with QAPs and MIL-STD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 0+ years if degree held.
• 3+ years of QC experience with fabricated components, cables, or hardware.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fabricated metal components, cable assemblies, and hardware per drawings and specs.
• Read/interpet engineering drawings, work instructions, and specs to verify conformity.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and CoCs per MIL-STD-1916 or equivalent.
• Maintain detailed inspection documentation and quality records.
• Identify nonconforming materials and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Assist root-cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, and gauges for precise measurements.
• Coordinate with QA team to align with QAPs and standards.
• Track quality trends to support continuous improvement.
• Support audits and sampling per contract standards.
