Job Description

In the Quality Control Inspector Lead role, you will support the Quality Control Manager and management team with the daily operations of the department, maintaining positive employee relations. You will also serve as a backup Quality Control Inspector when necessary. Your responsibilities include inspecting products and processes to ensure compliance with customer, company, and other specifications. This role involves supporting company initiatives, providing training, and assisting in resolving quality issues across factories.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, and work regulations.
  • Manage team operations within VPET USA INC. policies and procedures.
  • Forecast and plan workforce adjustments in coordination with the Quality Control Manager.
  • Coordinate employee breaks to ensure adequate QC coverage.
  • Address operational issues and achieve performance goals.
  • Communicate quality assurance issues between shifts, including processing hold items, dispositions, and alerts.
  • Validate inspections and sign off inspection reports (QC006 and QC026).
  • Create inspection documentation such as First Article Inspection Sheets and Wall Distribution Sheets.
  • Train new employees and cross-train with other inspectors.
  • Participate in material disposition and hold tags preparation.
  • Collaborate with personnel on inspection questions and maintain documentation with Document Control.
  • Assist in SOP development and revision for inspection processes.
  • Support production when needed.
  • Inspect materials and products using blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain inspection logs and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years' mechanical inspection experience preferred, with proficiency in measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQF 2000, HACCP, and GMP is preferred.
  • Experience in the plastic bottle industry or manufacturing environment is preferred.
