Job summary

Master Machining is seeking a Quality Control Inspector Lead for a full-time 1st shift position. You will oversee the quality team, inspect precision components, and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.

Responsibilities include performing first-article and in-process inspections, reading drawings, and documenting results. You will mentor staff, drive improvements, and uphold ISO 9000 practices to protect our reputation for precision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Quality Control Inspector in machining/manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
• Experience with ISO 9000.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other precision tools.
• Lead and support the quality inspection team in daily operations.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to verify part compliance.
• Utilize CMM or comparable inspection equipment.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with machinists and leadership to resolve quality concerns.
• Document nonconformances and corrective actions; train team members on procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and ISO 9000 adherence.

Your Role

As a Quality Control Inspector lead, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that every part produced at Master Machining meets or exceeds customer and industry standards. You’ll inspect precision components, perform detailed measurements, and uphold the standards that define our company’s reputation for excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

• Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
• Lead and support the quality inspection team in daily operations.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to verify part compliance
• Utilize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) or comparable inspection equipment when applicable
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation
• Collaborate with machinists and leadership to resolve quality concerns
• Document and communicatenonconformances and corrective actions. Train team members on quality procedures and inspection techniques.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to ISO 9000 standards

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a machining or manufacturing environment- REQUIRED 3+ YEARS
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools- REQUIREDExperience with ISO 9000- REQUIRED 3+ YEARS
• Knowledge of inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). - REQUIRED 3+ YEARS
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime or occasional Saturdays when needed
