Job summary

IPG Photonics Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector II for the Marlborough, MA area. This temporary, 2nd shift position (3-11 PM) focuses on inbound material inspection, documentation review, and supporting manufacturing with timely DHR reviews.

The role requires basic quality training, 1–3 years in quality, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Knowledge of ISO13485 and CFR 21-820 is preferred, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional training in Quality or a focus in medical devices preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Quality role (medical device preferred; other regulated industries considered).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Understanding of ISO13485, CFR 21-820.
• User experience of QMS, PLM and CMMS systems.
• Ability to read drawings and prints.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of materials and reviewing receiving documentation for conformity to specifications.
• Support manufacturing operations through timely review of DHRs including release of finished goods.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices.
• Participate in NCMRs / CAPAs to improve processes and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
