Job summary

Enjet Aero in New Britain, CT is seeking aQuality Control Inspector to perform 1st piece inspections and verify part-to-print conformity. You will apply GD&T, inspect with micrometers and CMMs, and document results while supporting the manufacturing process.

Strong attention to detail and aerospace experience are essential. The role requires reading blueprints, understanding GD&T symbols, identifying defects, and producing accurate inspection reports consistent with Pratt & Whitney

Position Description: Quality Inspector will primarily perform 1 st piece inspections, evaluate part to print specifications, and understand the inspection methods used for inspection while supporting the manufacturing process and personnel adhering to the Quality Policy, Customer, and Regulatory requirements.

• Strong blueprint and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) comprehension
• Proficient in the use of inspection tools, such as micrometer, indicators, comparator, etc.
• Detailed to complete all paperwork, as required, including inspection reports.
• Able to make mold casts to check ID dimensions.
• Can identify dimensional and visual defects.
• Accuracy and attention to detail is highly important.
• Must have strong knowledge of aerospace specifications and requirements, particularly Pratt and Whitney
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient at reading blueprints.

• Proficient in reading and utilizing multiple types of measurement equipment including CMM’s, Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and more.
• Ability to work together as team.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Adhere to document control.
• Experience with various inspection reports.
• Prior experience completing first piece inspection of product.
• Machining Background a plus
