Job summary

Excesser, Inc. is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to join our Sandy Hook, CT facility. You will perform visual inspections of electronic components and use advanced test equipment to verify datasheet specifications.

You will count and sort components, ensure all customer requirements are met, and assist with light inventory duties. Cross-training opportunities in Value Added Services and other departments are available.

Qualifications

• The role requires high attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow repetitive testing standards and maintain accuracy.
• Requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs and climb ladders up to 10 ft.

• Working within our purpose-built facility, our Quality Control Inspectors perform a vital role in our business to help us inspect electronic components

What you'll do

• Undertaking visual inspections of electronic components
• Using state-of-the-art test equipment to perform detailed visual inspections
• Researching component information in order to compare components with data sheet specifications
• Counting and sorting electronic components
• Verifying all customer requirements are being met
• Performing light inventory duties
• Cross training for Value Added Services at SMT Corp. (Bake and Seal, Tape & Reel, Etc.)
• Cross training in different departments as needed at SMT Corp. (electrical department, authenticity department)

Qualifications

• The role does require a high level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, ability to follow repetitive testing standards, and good eyesight.
• Components are stored within our warehouse and you will be required to undertake some light lifting (up to 40 lbs) and climb ladders (up to10 ft).
• Ability to work in a ESD and FOD Lab controlled environment.
