Job summary

SMT Corp. is a leader in counterfeit electronics detection and supply chain assurance. Our Quality Control Inspectors inspect components from customers and suppliers for quality and counterfeit risk in a purpose-built facility.

Qualifications

  • The role requires high attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow repetitive testing standards and maintain accuracy.
  • Good eyesight for visual inspections and data sheet comparisons.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake visual inspections of electronic components.
  • Use test equipment to perform detailed inspections.
  • Research component information to compare with datasheet specs.
  • Count and sort components and verify customer requirements.
  • Perform light inventory duties and cross-train in Value Added Services.
  • Cross-train in electrical and authenticity departments as needed.

Working within our purpose-built facility, our Quality Control Inspectors perform a vital role in our business to help us inspect electronic components from our customers and suppliers for quality and potential counterfeit items.

Within the role of the Quality Control Inspector you will be:
  • Undertaking visual inspections of electronic components
  • Using state-of-the-art test equipment to perform detailed visual inspections
  • Researching component information in order to compare components with data sheet specifications
  • Counting and sorting electronic components
  • Verifying all customer requirements are being met
  • Performing light inventory duties
  • Cross training for Value Added Services (Bake and Seal, Tape & Reel, Etc.)
  • Cross training in different departments as needed (electrical department, authenticity department)

Schedule
  • 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm
  • 1 /2 hour Lunch
Qualifications
  • The role does require a high level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, ability to follow repetitive testing standards, and good eyesight.
  • Components are stored within our warehouse and you will be required to undertake some light lifting (up to 40 lbs) and climb ladders (up to10 ft).
  • Ability to work in a ESD and FOD Lab controlled environment.
