Job summary

Plastpro, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Ashtabula, OH to oversee inspections during processing and finished stages. You will make routing decisions on acceptance using standard procedures and instruments, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, experience in quality inspection, and strong data-analysis and reporting capabilities. Ability to stand for long periods and work independently is essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience as an inspection or quality technician.
Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
High level of visual awareness.
Advanced organizational skills.
Experience drafting reports and collating data.
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Perform line audits.
Conduct 24 hour drop area inspections.
Prepare written reports when necessary or as directed; read blue prints to verify specifications.
Check quality of finished products for shipment and returns.
Develop and maintain inspection reports.
Inspect raw materials or products per quality and safety standards.
Ensure materials and products comply with company standards.
Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning.
Report and record quality anomalies to supervisor.
Compile test data and draft quality reports.
Identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
