Job summary

Creare, a leading engineering and R&D firm in Hanover, NH, seeks a Quality Control Inspector. The role supports Brayton Energy at their Hampton, NH office and involves QC inspection of incoming vendor products, documentation review, and internal process improvements.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma (Associate’s preferred) and 3 years’ experience with ISO9001/AS9100. Proficiency with Costpoint, Excel, and Access is expected.

Job Responsibilities

Creare, a leading engineering research and development firm in Hanover, NH seeks to fill the position of Quality Control Inspector. While employed by Creare, this role will support our subsidiary, Brayton Energy, and will be based in their offices in Hampton, NH. In this multi-faceted job, the successful candidate will support Brayton Energy’s ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management System in several key roles related to our aerospace manufacturing activities in mechanical systems and electronics. A primary role will include quality control inspection (QCI) of incoming product from our vendors including detailed review of the associated documentation and high level visual and mechanical inspection of the goods received. You will be expected to follow our strict quality control procedures and collaborate with senior staff to continuously improve those procedures. You will utilize our electronic business systems (e.g., Costpoint ERP, Access databases and intranet tools) to facilitate and document your work. To be successful in this position, the candidate will need to be very detail oriented, organized, and thorough to ensure that all quality related requirements specified in Purchase Orders are being met by the received product. The position may also include more detailed mechanical and electrical inspection duties, and a range of support to other labs and departments, consistent with the abilities and interests of the candidate.

Professional Requirements

A minimum of a high school degree is required in this position but preferably an Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college/technical school or combination of education and experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an environment with an ISO9001 or AS9100 level quality management system is also required. Computer skills are required specifically with regard to databases, at the user level, and with basic data manipulation using tools such as Excel.
