HEICO Component Repair Group is currently looking for a QC Inspector Apprentice. If you are outgoing, a fast learner and looking for a company where there is a chance for advancement, this is the position for you. The Quality Control Inspector Apprentice may be required to assist QC Inspectors with inspection activities within their assigned shop including tasks like preliminary inspections and return to service inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow Engineering Orders, special maintenance instructions and other FAA-approved technical data
- Follow applicable Federal Regulations
- Correctly and accurately complete forms and tags
- Work with QC Inspectors and other personnel to support accurate and compliant inspection activities.
- Maintain attention to detail while performing inspection-related tasks and learning applicable quality control procedures.
Skills/Education & Experience:
- Must be able to understand, read and write English
- Must be able to read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals in order to follow manufacturer's instructions
- Must be able to follow Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins when necessary
- Must be able to follow HCRG's Environmental Health and Safety Policy
- Must be able to follow HCRG's Repair Station and Quality Control Manual (RSQCM)
- Must be able to follow applicable Federal Regulations such as FAR 145
- Must be able to follow HCRG's applicable Standard Practice Procedures
- Must be able to properly secure safety wire
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for handling inspection tools, components, paperwork, forms, tags, and safety wire.
- Ability to perform close visual inspection of aircraft components and identify defects, damage, irregularities, or workmanship issues.
- Ability to safely handle and manipulate aircraft components and inspection-related equipment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with applicable safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
