Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to support final inspection and shipping/receiving activities. You will interpret engineering drawings and customer specs, perform precise measurements, and help maintain reliability of aviation components.

The role requires basic computer skills, an aviation-related education, and experience in aviation inspection. FAA certifications are preferred, NAS-410 acuity is required, and overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer proficiency including MS Excel.
• Associate degree in aviation field preferred.
• At least 1 year aviation work experience.
• Minimum 2 years basic dimensional/visual inspection on aviation equipment.
• Certify NAS-410 visual acuity.
• Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality control final inspection support, and shipping / receiving inspection support.
• Accurately interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, company specifications, sampling procedures, designs, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Utilize precision tools and equipment with accuracy for testing and measurement of product.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize precision tools and equipment with accuracy for testing and measurement of product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Basic Computer Proficiency to include fundamental tasks such as email, word processing software, creating and maintaining spreadsheets in MS Excel and navigating Operating systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree in an aviation related field preferred
• At least 1-year relevant aviation work experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation related equipment (airframe, powerplant, and or avionic)
• Certify visual acuity to NAS-410
• Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
