Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Quality Inspector to support final inspection and shipping/receiving processes. You will interpret engineering drawings, customer and company specifications, and record and report quality data with precision using calibrated tools.

The role requires 2+ years in aviation-related dimensional/visual inspection, NAS-410 visual acuity, and prefers FAA A&P certifications. Work hours may include evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in aviation related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of aviation-related work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection.
  • Ability to certify visual acuity to NAS-410.
  • Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must have Basic Computer Proficiency to include fundamental tasks such as email, word processing software, creating and maintaining spreadsheets in MS Excel and navigating Operating systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate degree in an aviation related field preferred
  • At least 1-year relevant aviation work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in basic dimensional/visual inspection required on aviation related equipment (airframe, powerplant, and or avionic)
  • Certify visual acuity to NAS-410
  • Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
