Job Description

Become a part of Drug Plastics as our Quality Control Inspector! This third shift position involves inspecting finished products, completing inspection forms, and ensuring product quality. Benefits include a clean environment, sign-on and retention bonuses, paid time off, and benefits starting the first month after hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely QC inspections, including four inspections per machine per shift, and save samples as per specifications.
• Approve production setups to ensure compliance with standards.
• Re-approve setups if production is halted for over 2 hours.
• Perform measurements with appropriate tools and document results.
• Check product color and light transmission; use optical comparator as needed.
• Inspect samples for quality, proper packaging, labeling, and adherence to specifications.
• Review setup checklists and approve production when standards are met.
• Address quality-related questions from team members.

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete daily inspection reports and document any non-conformities.
• Notify supervisors of issues and take corrective actions, including re-inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Follow safety and GMP guidelines.

Job Requirements

• Strong math skills and effective communication.
• Ability to interpret instructions and use basic computer applications.
• Good vision (correctable to 20/20) and color perception.
• Ability to work overtime and in a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Education

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in quality inspection preferred.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and standing/walking for most of the shift.
