Job summary

Flex is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Des Moines, Iowa. You will inspect panels and enclosures through multiple production stages and report to the Quality Control Supervisor.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing tests, documenting issues, and ensuring conformance to BOM specifications. We value strong communication and practical decision-making, and you will work with a team across steel, paint, mounting, wiring, and shipping departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and exploded-view drawings.
• Exercise common sense when making decisions.
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Perform routine inspections and quality tests.
• Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards and the customer’s bill of materials.
• Document deficiencies and errors of products and confirm corrections of these errors.
• Operate a manual hydraulic pallet jack.

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor the Quality Control Inspector will inspect panels and enclosures throughout the production process as they go through the different departments of Electrical Power Products, Inc. These departments include steel, paint, mounting, wiring, enclosures, and shipping.

What a typical day looks like:

• Implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Perform routine inspections and quality tests.
• Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards and the customer’s bill of materials.
• Document deficiencies and errors of products and confirm corrections of these errors.
• Operate a manual hydraulic pallet jack.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
