Position Summary: OPEX Corporation is seeking a full-time Quality Control Inspector to work at our Pennsauken, NJ facility. The second shift hours are from 2:00 PM to 10:15 PM.

The role involves inspecting automation equipment for a global leader in high-speed mailroom automation, document imaging, and material handling.

Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints and specifications.
  • Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to assembly or production processes.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
  • Use calipers, gauges, or micrometers to measure products.
  • Identify and analyze quality issues, collect data, and draw conclusions.
  • Make recommendations regarding product quality.
  • Approve or reject incoming parts and in-process machine builds based on specifications.
  • Conduct visual and measurement tests.
  • Approve finished products or return them for rework.
  • Document inspection results through reports and logs.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 2 years of quality control experience, especially inspecting electro-mechanical machinery.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Workplace safety knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical/Work Environment:
  • Work in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to maneuver in small spaces around equipment.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Activities include squatting, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
