Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Fremont, CA, is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform product inspections and audits of QA programs. You will inspect SMT and PTH components, read BOMs, and verify workmanship against drawings to ensure material conformance.

The role requires 2+ years in QA within SMT/PTH manufacturing, basic inspection tools, and the ability to document findings. ITAR facility; US citizen or lawful permanent resident required.

Qualifications

The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Job Purpose:

Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform hand solder SMT and PTH components
• Perform inspections to determine the quality of both metal components and electromechanical assemblies, visually and dimensionally
• Based upon internal and customer supplied workmanship standards and drawing specifications and final assembly inspection
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming purchased components and raw materials.
• Determine and assist in developing methods and procedures for quality inspection and control.
• Apply final labels or markings as required to demonstrate product acceptance.
• Document and communicate any non-conformances identified during inspection activities.
• Complete daily reports of inspection activities.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or college courses.
• Minimum of 2years of quality assurance experience in a SMT and PTH manufacturing.
• Experience reading and interpreting Bill of Materials (BOM), workmanship standards and customer engineering specifications
• Experience with basic inspection equipment and measurement such as, but not limited to bore gauge, caliper, micrometer, pin gauges, etc.
• Competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and data analysis.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be flexible in regards to overtime availability and work with minimal supervision

Salary Range (annual): $45,760 - $49,920 ($22.00 - $24.00)Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
