Job Overview
Insight Global is looking for a Welding Quality Inspector/Technician to perform welding quality inspections, testing, and verification of plans and materials before, during, and after manufacturing or construction. The role is a 6‑month contract based on‑site in Vancouver, with travel to Gaven HQ in Pittsburgh for training before the start of the assignment on December 1 2025. The position primarily works the second shift (2:30 – 11 p.m.) with potential overtime.
Compensation & Schedule
Base pay: $33.00/hr – $38.00/hr (based on skills and experience)
Shift: 2:30 – 11 p.m. (second shift), overtime possible.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding quality inspections, testing, and verification of plans and materials before, during, and after manufacturing or construction.
- Ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
- Read construction drawings and vendor specification sheets.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in the welding industry.
- Experience with welding quality standards; CWI or CAWI welding certification preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Proficient in using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
- Ability to read and interpret vendor specification sheets.
