The Quality Inspector will uphold the safety regulations of our company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations.Position Overview: The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection of raw materials, in-process assembly activities, finished products, and other items as required. This position is required to follow quality inspection procedures and to demonstrate a working knowledge of technical specifications, test plans, and drawings. The Quality Control Inspector is expected to perform essential duties that maintain an effective quality management system and ensure product quality. This position will support the company’s goal of ensuring compliance with applicable ISO 9001 regulations.DescriptionA Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections on the machine side. Ex. Barberan, MartinPerform in-process and final inspections in assembly and packing. Ex. Felix GluerPerform 1st piece inspection for all production processesInterface with management on production issuesIssue Non-Conforming (NCR) reports on discrepant materialMaintain reports on inspection functionsPerform housekeeping responsibilitiesPull customer samples for Project ManagersMaintain Hold AreaSupport current Quality Management System (QMS)Support ISO 9001 requirementsSecondary ResponsibilitiesAssist Quality Manager in special projects.Promote safety.Promote good housekeeping.Promote good environmental practices.Assist in the AIB program as required.Perform receiving inspection on incoming products, when needed.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification.A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.Good written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detailBasic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specificationsIn-depth understanding of company standardsComfortable standing or walking for long periods of timePhysical Demand: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently must walk and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, and tools. The employee must occasionally sit; reach above shoulders; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Use of magnifying devices including microscopes and magnifying lamps is required. Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to stand entire shift.
