Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to test and inspect products at various stages of the production process, compiling and evaluating statistical data to ensure quality and reliability.

You will examine products for defects, document issues with recommended repairs, perform root cause analysis, compare work orders, record data with SPC methods, and report deviations from standards.

Responsibilities

• Examines products at various stages in the production process to identify defects and completes appropriate testing of products as needed.
• Documents all defects with recommended necessary repairs and reroutes defected projects to appropriate area for correction.
• Completes root cause analysis to determine the source of product defects.
• Compares product work orders to the inspected product to ensure customer specifications have been met.
• Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
• Ensures product meets all quality specifications and established standards and processes all product that has passed quality inspection.
• Supports and manages the company quality business systems.
• Additional duties as assigned.
